Perstorp showcases sustainable and high performing formulation solutions at the American Coatings Show

Perstorp - April 12, 2016 - Perstorp, the Swedish specialty chemicals company, with a production plants in Toledo Ohio, and a world-leading provider of low-VOC coating solutions, is showcasing its commitment to the American market at the American Coatings Show 2016, April 12-14, in Indianapolis. Visitors to the Perstorp stand will find a comprehensive package of raw material and additive solutions for a wide range of coating types. At booth 2855, Perstorp is highlighting products that enhance performance, sustainability and safety.
There is a strong trend in the market towards environmentally friendly products, with no or very low VOC. Perstorp is the world leading supplier of low VOC solutions. Until recently, it has been difficult to produce environmentally friendly coatings without sacrificing performance. With Perstorp solutions there is no longer a need to compromise on either performance or sustainability. Perstorp has building blocks solutions for all major resin technologies such as UV curing, Powder Polyester, High-solids and Waterborne alkyds as well as Polyurethane dispersions, all enabling no/low VOC.
UV curing offering instant cure. This combined with low viscosity enables higher productivity, paired with high-quality and consistent materials for low waste. Cationic UV curing for coatings and packaging inks will also be showcased. This technology can be used to solve many packaging design challenges such as difficult substrates and flexible packaging.
Powder Polyester brings outstanding durability and quality for less maintenance and extended life.
High-solids and Waterborne alkyds provide excellent weather resistance. These solutions bring ultimate wood protection and surface penetration, making them the right choice for professional painters.
Polyurethane dispersions enable maximized resistance. Perstorp offers solvent free solutions maximize abrasion resistance and prevent fat and dye transfer for leather that lasts and looks good.
The spotlight on Capa™ polycaprolactones will be particularly bright at the show. Capa™, the one molecule with millions of opportunities, is the ideal solution for high performance coatings and tough conditions.
Another highlight will be our Charmor™ for intumescent coatings that protects steel construction of buildings in case of fire. Coatings containing Charmor™ enable structures to retain their structural integrity for longer, increasing the evacuation time dramatically from a few minutes up to two hours.
Perstorp continues to invest. As announced at the UTECH North America show last week, Perstorp has also put in place several new initiatives to shorten customer?s time-to-market for new innovative products. These include investments in a fully equipped lab at its facility in the UK, an increase in its expert resources for customer support, and the establishment of a partnership with distribution company Nexeo Solutions covering various regions of North America. |
